Akyikatchi Dzhamilia Dzhamanbaeva met with residents of Osh region

Akyikatchy (Ombudsman) of the Kyrgyz Republic Dzhamilia Dzhamanbaeva was with  working trip to Osh city and Osh region.

As part of the trip, Akyikatchy held a meeting with the Presidential Plenipotentiary Envoy in Osh  region Elchibek Dzhantaev, as well as with the heads of regional and city departments of law enforcement agencies and prosecutors.

At the meetings they discussed the importance of taking immediate measures to ensure respect for citizens' rights.

Her son was beaten by older guys, but the doctors did not help, according to her, needed help, did not accept the child, and she brought the boy to Osh to other doctors. But I couldn’t get the help I needed there either.

“I ask you to ensure the rights of my child,” the woman asked.

On the spot, Akyikatchy demanded that the child’s rights to access be respected to medicine. Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative in the Osh region Rustam Orozbekov replied that the child will provide the necessary assistance.

In addition, another woman also asked the Ombudsman to help protect her child's rights.

According to her, the former common-law spouse does not recognize the child and refuses pay child support.

“He doesn’t help the child, he says it’s not from him. I don’t have money for DNA,”

the woman burst into tears.

The mayor's office instructed government agencies to ensure compliance with children's rights.

In addition, the accountant of the tuberculosis hospital contacted Akikatchy. She

said that even by court decision she was not allowed to work.

“I went on maternity leave in 2018, and after maternity leave I was going to return to work. But the director came up with various excuses. Then he peed on me statement. I was reinstated to work through the court. But he doesn’t carry out the decision court,” the woman explained upset.

Akyikatchy noted that all measures will be taken to ensure compliance rights of citizens.
